The Uber vs Lyft war has finally hit the streets of NYC with Lyft opening up shop and giving out two weeks worth of free rides. I’ve already talked before about why I think this war is such a bad thing for drivers but there appears to be no end in sight. I guess on the brighter side, at least it’s getting more passengers out there to try TNC’s.
I think it’s only a matter of time before Lyft and Uber are in every city in America. They might not be as popular in small rural areas but I don’t see any reason why rideshare still wouldn’t work. If there are people willing to pay for rides, there will always be people willing to drive.
A small administrative note: I’ll be getting married this weekend and then onto my honeymoon for a couple weeks. I’m going to try and get some posts up during that time but it may not be my usual 2-3 a week. Have no fear though, I’ll be back in a few weeks, recharged, refreshed, married and more ready than ever.
