Drivers in Portland: Get an Electric Car with Forth Mobility

I’m a big fan of electric vehicles for rideshare but the upfront cost can be prohibitive. Fortunately, we just partnered with the local non-profit, Forth Mobility to help drivers in Portland get low-interest financing on an electric car!

A full-time driver will put 1,000 miles per week or more on their car, so by switching to electric you could save on gas AND maintenance. The total monthly savings can add up to $800 or more, since electric vehicles require a lot less maintenance – no oil changes for example! That means you’ll keep more money in your pocket while doing your part to help the environment.

Plus, there are some pretty neat cars to consider—from the Chevy Bolt to the Hyundai IONIQ to the Tesla Model 3 and more.

  • Charging stations, federal and state initiatives, and advancements in technology make electric driving in PDX more accessible, equitable and realistic for rideshare and delivery drivers.
  • There’s a wide variety of vehicles to choose from, and of course, you get to test drive them before making a decision.
  • The program is designed specifically for rideshare and delivery drivers in the Portland, Oregon area.

Interested? Drivers of all income levels are welcome to reach out to Forth to make the commitment to go electric!

Do you have an electric vehicle? Would you buy one for driving rideshare or delivery?
