RSG048: How to Run a Rideshare Video Training Course

There’s a lot that goes into running my business and today I’m going to give a behind the scenes look on our video training course.  This episode of the podcast is going to be a little different than normal but for anyone interested in building a platform or branding themselves as an expert, one of the things you’ll evenutally need to figure out is how to monetize that.  And creating digital products is one of the best ways to do so.

The podcast now comes in audio form (find it on iTunes), transcript form and we’re also recording the videos on Youtube.  Enjoy and feel free to reach out with any questions you might have.

Creating Digital Products

  • Digital products (ebooks, video courses, etc.) typically high profit margin
  • Video was a natural transition and also seemed like a fun challenge
  • Wanted to leverage content and make it easy for people to go through and understand, vs. going through every single article on this site

Getting Started on Building Your Brand, Course, or Website

  • For Maximum Ridesharing Profits, needed to create a website to direct people to and to host the videos
  • Getting set up on a host like GoDaddy or Bluehost is actually very cheap
  • Don’t get bogged down in how it looks, just get writing and get things up there. Content important but don’t let it stop you
  • Multiple options to reach out to people and monetize

Best Marketing Strategies

  • Email! Using SumoMe or AWeber
  • Google traffic and organic traffic
  • Give people who subscribe something useful. For MRP, the Business of Rideshare
  • Video transcription very useful as well (check out the linked transcript in Show Notes)
  • Course $97 and sell about 30 courses per month, expenses are about $150 per month
  • Affiliate marketing has also been helpful for sales – encouraging other people to market our product after trying it out themselves

Moving Forward

  • Modernizing the MRP site
  • Important not to just use the first service you find
  • Sometimes cheap works, sometimes it’s not the best
